When function meets aesthetics

By Camilla Bakken, interior designer

As an interior designer, I am always looking for solutions that both simplify everyday life and give the home a holistic and stylish expression. It's not just about how something looks , but how it feels to use it – how a product can be both functional and a natural part of the home's aesthetics.

That's why I fell head over heels for LEARO, a Norwegian innovation that literally redefines something we take for granted: the door handle .

Why I, as an interior designer, love LEARO

When I choose products for my own projects, they must always meet three requirements:

  • Functionality – they should make everyday life easier
  • Design – they should blend into the interior without appearing dominant
  • Quality – they should last and feel solid to use

LEARO door handles deliver on all counts . The rectangular and stylish expression feels both innovative and timeless, and it almost becomes a small piece of jewelry on the door – discreet, but with character.

For me, it's about more than just a handle – it's an example of how Norwegian design and innovation can take something everyday and make it smarter and more beautiful at the same time.

Norwegian quality – made for the future

What makes LEARO extra special is that it is Norwegian-developed. From idea to production, the entire journey has been characterized by a genuine passion for design and craftsmanship. The development has taken place in Skien, and the launch in 2025 marks the start of something I think many people will open their eyes to.

Every detail has been tested and fine-tuned to ensure both usability and durability. This is not mass-produced interior design – it is a conscious investment in integrity and quality.

Small details that make a big difference

A doorknob is something you touch several times a day. Why not make that experience a little more comfortable, a little more aesthetic, a little more… you ?

With LEARO you can easily upgrade the overall look of your home, whether you are building new, renovating, or just want to replace the old standard solutions with something that actually feels designed – not just manufactured.

My advice for those who want to renovate their home

Start small. You don't always have to paint the whole house or completely renovate to feel a change. Often it's the small details that make the biggest impact. A new handle can transform a simple door into a design point – and that's exactly what LEARO does.

Want to see how LEARO works in practice? Stay tuned for my future projects , where I show how I integrate these handles into different homes and styles.
